Yara Belle Plaine Production Plant
Yara Belle Plaine is a major nitrogen fertilizer producer located in Belle Plaine, Saskatchewan. The facility supplies essential crop nutrition and emissions‑abatement products - including urea, ammonia, urea ammonium nitrate (UAN), and diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) - across Canada. Operating for more than 34 years, including since Yara’s acquisition of Saskferco in 2008, YBP plays a critical role in supporting Canada's agricultural productivity by providing farmers with a reliable domestic supply of lower‑emitting fertilizers and strengthening the resilience of the Canadian food supply chain.
Yara Belle Plaine operates among the lowest-emitting nitrogen production facilities globally, helping to ensure global fertilizer demand is met through lower-emission production.
