Yara Belle Plaine: Leading Producer of Nitrogen Fertilizer in North America
Yara Belle Plaine is one of Canada's largest nitrogen fertilizer production facilities, supplying farmers across Western Canada with a reliable domestic source of crop nutrition products. Located between Regina and Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, the site has played a vital role in supporting Canadian agriculture since production began in 1992.
Originally established as Saskferco, the facility became part of Yara International in 2008 and today is part of a global network dedicated to responsibly feeding the world and protecting the planet.
In addition to producing essential nitrogen fertilizers, Yara Belle Plaine manufactures emissions-reducing products such as Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), helping support both agricultural productivity and environmental performance.

More than 90% of production is distributed throughout Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Manitoba, helping support crop production across the Prairies. Products are also supplied to customers elsewhere in Canada and the United States through Yara's distribution network.
