Located in the Heart of the Canadian Prairies, Yara Belle Plaine began operations in 1992 under the name Saskferco.  On October 1, 2008, Yara International ASA purchased Saskferco and created the new entity Yara Belle Plaine Inc.  Yara Belle Plaine’s production facility, is ideally situated in close proximity to its core markets in Western Canada and the Northern United States.  Yara Belle Plaine is one of North America’s newest nitrogen fertilizer facilities and is in fact the largest single line granulation facility on the continent.
